We are a carbon neutral company!

We are pleased to announce that we have reached a significant achievement in our commitment to the environment! We are the first CO2-neutral company in the sector!

How we have done it?

At SITAB we have always believed in the importance of caring for our planet and taking responsible measures to reduce our carbon footprint. Being carbon neutral means that our company has calculated its entire carbon footprint with external auditors such as TÜV, has taken steps to reduce it as much as possible and then, in order to offset the remaining emissions, has funded specific projects to reduce greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

At SITAB we have offset all the emissions generated in 2022, collaborating in various environmental projects such as Myanmar and Malawi fuel efficient stoves or wind energy centres in India (Madhya Pradesh). In this way, we have managed to offset the 204 tonnes of CO2 emitted by SITAB in the manufacture of the TREBE SERIES partition. It is important to mention that offsetting should not be seen as the only solution; however, when managed responsibly, it becomes an effective short-term tool to address carbon emissions and curb climate change.

This achievement would not have been possible without the combined efforts of the entire SITAB team and the implementation of sustainable practices in all areas of our business. From choosing renewable energy sources to optimising our carbon emissions generated by the transportation of raw materials and SITAB employees, every step counts and reflects our commitment to a greener and more sustainable future. We are convinced that every action counts that is why we are committed to leading the way towards a greener business world.

We thank our customers, employees and suppliers for their continued support on this sustainability journey. We firmly believe that a cleaner and healthier future for next generations should been built among all.

Join us on this road to a more sustainable and greener world!
